Using a homemade natural & organic recipe that contains Jagua juice & essential oil, the "ink" (actually a paste) only stains the upper layer of skin - known as the epidermis. 

Since the skin naturally regenerates itself, the tattoo fades overtime, typically in the 12-14 day range. 

The "ink" leaves a blue-black stain, resembling & mimicking a real tattoo.
