Bizarre client stories

1) I had a guy who convinced his gf he got her name permanently tattooed. He came in every month for reapplication. Haven’t seen him since, so either they broke up… or he’s walking around with the world’s most committed Sharpie.

2) I’m all for body positivity but a guy once asked to get his, how do I put this delicately? Rhymes with SHMENIS - tattooed. Like how would this even work operationally? Flaccid? Not flaccid? Don’t know, don’t wanna know.

3) One client wanted a forehead-to-nose trident tattoo. Like that giant fork thingy that the Little Mermaid’s dad has. Eccentric? Absolutely. Worst I’ve seen? Nah!

And if you’ve noticed a theme here, yes. All men. Every. Single. One.
Coincidence? I think not!

35 sun orbits, here’s what I’ve learned:

- everyone’s faking it
- being a perfectionist really means insecure
- doing the bare minimum often has the same outcome as giving it your all
- my body officially feels naked if I don’t have a temp tattoo on
- my husband is hot (I knew that one all along)

And I don’t get the hype about “peaking in your twenties.” My 20s was a series of existential crisis and hoping it counted as a ‘hobby’. My 30s? Giving less shit, drinking more water & realizing no one’s really looking that closely anyway.

Oh and Free Palestine.
